Planning was granted in 2017 for this new build art studio that falls within both a SSSI (site of special scientific interest) and an AONB (area of outstanding natural beauty).
The ground floor provides an open plan space to be used for a variety of arts. Double height spaces, white washed timber clad walls, concrete floors and a fireplace create a robust yet warm and creative environment. The first floor creates an overlooking balcony and a yoga room.
Structural insulated panels (SIP’s) will be used for quick and cost effective assembly, whilst also ensuring ecologically sound principles of airtightness, high performing thermally efficient U-values and low embodied energy. Running costs will be reduced by the use of an air source heat pump.
