MUSWELL HILL
LONDON

In this complete overhaul of a Victorian semi-detached property in Muswell Hill, we created a dramatic, unique and light filled home.

Externally the extension was clad in Tadelakt plaster to create a rich, textured, contemporary but warm surface which finishes by wrapping around the window seat.

Internally the main entrance and staircase from the lower ground floor were reconfigured and relocated to the side in order to bring light into the core of the building, this was further enhanced by multiple skylights bringing light into the stairwells.

The large rear extension forms a 4 meter high kitchen/dining area with floor to ceiling glass doors that fold back creating a seamless inside outside transition into the landscaped terrace and garden also designed by ourselves.

A huge dormer window with floor to ceiling glass was added to the rear of the roof to capture the stunning views of Alexandra Palace from the master bedroom.

Traditional details were careful studied and re-created, to remain honest to the building’s heritage, along with a number of quirks including a secret door within a bookcase and a wood panelled library making this a unique and fascinating build. The kitchen and joinery were all designed by our team.
